Lutherans are Christians. We believe in the Triune God — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe the Bible is God's word and our guide for understanding who we are, where we fit, and what our life’s purpose is. Lutheran teachings can be summarized in three short phrases: grace alone, faith alone, and Scripture alone.
Grace alone
God
loves us, even though we do nothing to deserve his love.
Faith alone
By
his death on the cross, Jesus gives us eternal life. Those
who believe this good news will live forever.
Scripture alone
The Bible is God's Word, the only standard for what we believe
and teach.
